Idol at Hindu temple torched in Thakurgaon

Pressure won in town Uttargaon of Thakurgaon's Ranisankail upazila after certain individuals burnt a symbol of Hindu goddess Kali at a sanctuary Thursday night. 'A gathering of individuals harmed the symbol at the Kali Temple nearby Shanto Chandra's home in the town at about 9:00pm and escaped,' said Ranisankail cop in-control Jahid Iqbal. Local people quickly raced to the spot yet when they drenched the flares, the symbol was burnt up, he said. 'Police watching in the region has been ventured up and an examination is in progress,' the official added. Youth held for uploading PM’s morphed pic

A 18-year-old youth has been captured in Bangalipara of Thakurgaon's sadar upazila for posting a transformed photograph of Bangladesh PM Sheik Hasina via web-based media, police said on Friday. The young has been distinguished as Raju Hossain, child of Sanowar Hossain. Tanvirul Islam, official accountable for Sadar Police said that Raju transferred the transformed photograph of head administrator Hasina's and had something similar with his companions via web-based media. 22 arrested for attacking Hindu houses in Sulla

Police captured 22 individuals regarding two cases recorded with Sulla police headquarters for their supposed inclusion in Wednesday's assaulting and plundering Hindu houses at town Noagaon under Sulla upazila in Sunamganj. They were captured between Thursday evening and Friday morning in the wake of documenting of the cases – one by the police and the other by a survivor of the town – on Thursday evening, said Sunamganj extra administrator of police (wrongdoing) Shaheb Ali Pathan. Four get death sentence for killing businessman in Khulna

A Khulna court on Thursday condemned four individuals to death and five others to life term detainment for killing a financial specialist in 2010. Of the convicts, Farid Mollah, Misbah Mollah, Mortaza Mollah and Tutul Mollah of town Ketenga of Terokhada upazila were condemned to death, whille Mukta Mollah, Shahidul Shikdar, Selim Shikdar, Nasir Shikder and Mehedi Mollah of a similar town were condemned to life-term detainment. Khulna extra region and meetings judge Mohammad Yarab Hossain gave over the decision in his pressed court. As per the indictment, Firoz Sheik, a financial specialist of Terokhada upazila, was hacked to death by the convicts on August 15, 2010. Hiru Sheik, sibling of the person in question, later documented an argument with Terokhada police headquarters against 30 individuals.
