Diploma engineers observe mourning day
According to a press release, the Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council organized a discussion and prayer session at Pani Bhaban Green Road at 3:00 PM on Thursday to mark National Mourning Day.
Yafesh Osman (Minister for Science and Technology Architecture), was the chief guest. He stated that a group operating under the auspices IDEB had occupied the IDEB Building without the approval of the Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council.
The discussion was opened by SA Malek, Bangabandhu Parishad general Secretary and one of the advisors to Bangladesh Awami League. He stated that despite a prior letter being issued to stop the activities of the unapproved Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council he believed the group was operating illegally under IDEB's auspices.
Kabir Bin anwar PAA, president and senior secretary of Bangladesh Administrative Service Association Enamul Haque (lawmaker from Rajshahi-4 constituency) and Asim Kumar Ukil (lawmaker for Netrokona-3 constituency) also spoke at the occasion.
Bangabandhu Diploma Engineers Council President Abdur Rab Bhuiyan presided at the event where Khandaker Mainur Rahman, executive member, delivered the welcome speech.
